This is an outstanding opportunity to join a world leading transport and infrastructure organisation to head up Health & Safety on a major site based in Essex working with state of the art technology to provide world class services to a global audience.
This role will be to be the lead on Health & Safety to drive continuous improvement across the site and lead on positive culture change through building robust relationships, strategy and policy as well as demonstrating leadership and compliance across the business.
Reporting to the Operations Director candidates should be able to demonstrate a strong track record of Health & Safety management in an industrial/large engineering setting or similar, managing a team and developing and implementing an audit program.
Key to success in this role will be working proactively with external regulatory bodies as well as contractors on site, maintaining strong relationships.
Candidates should be qualified to NEBOSH Diploma level and ideally CMIOSH or working towards with a background in heavy industry. An additional qualification in Fire would be advantageous.
