Allen & York are delighted to be working with a leading UK charity who are seeking to appoint a Health and Safety Officer for the organisation. Reporting to the Health and Safety Manager you will be maintaining audit, reporting, information and advisory systems. With the support of senior management within the business you will developing and maintaining the high standards currently in place.
Your Responsibilities
- To maintain an understanding of all the facets of the organisation
- To be familiar with all relevant H&S legislation
- Revise written policies and procedures for the business
- Communicate Health and Safety policies and procedures effectively and quickly
- To conduct audits and risk assessments on national sites
- Make relevant recommendations from the results of site visits
- To provide H&S advice to sub-divisions within the organisation
- Evaluate and then report on Health and Safety performance
- To establish good relationships with the internal and external workforce
- Any other reasonable duties as required
Your Skills
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
- Experience in a multi-site environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to induct and train
- Full, clean, manual driving licence essential
