Ready for a new start in 2021? Our client is a distributor of building materials and they are keen to find an HSE Manager to join them in a newly created role. If you want flexibility, variety, and scope to build and establish safety strategy across a network of sites reaching from Devon to Yorkshire and Wales to Norfolk this could be your next career move.
You will work closely with site-based colleagues and form part of the management team reporting directly to the MD. You will be tasked to create a positive safety culture throughout the business by creating, delivering, and monitoring robust health and safety measures; reports; processes whilst providing advice and guidance on legislation and compliance.
Travel and visibility are a vital to the success of this role, you will be required to visit each location regularly as a standalone health and safety ambassador, building relationships, delivering training, ensuring consistency and high standards are maintained.
Key skills required include:
- Nebosh General Certificate or equivalent.
- Minimum TechIOSH, with continuing professional development to achieve Grad status.
- Proven background in health & safety gained within a similar multi-site business.
- Full driving license.
- Confident communicator, with the ability to influence and challenge.
