An exciting opportunity to join a leading property consultancy whom specialises in land assembly for regeneration, utility, renewable energy and transport infrastructure schemes. They are compulsory purchase focussed but a large volume of our land assembly work is achieved through agreement.

Seeking to appoint an ambitious Land Referencing Manager whom has the necessary skills and drive to make a positive contribution towards enhancing our reputation as leader in the delivery of major utility, renewable and transport Development Consent Order (DCO) projects.

Predominantly to be based in our new office in Milton Keynes (due to open in July) The job will also involve being on site consulting/ negotiating with landowners and land agents.

Job Role

You will be involved in a range of exciting rural and urban based projects. The role will involve managing the land referencing process, including the Book of Reference and Land plans. There will also be opportunity to be involved in negotiating land acquisition for surface infrastructure, rural land valuation, negotiating option agreements for infrastructure and cable/pipe easements as well as conducting route optioneering, scoping reports and consultation with affected landowners.

The position will also involve liaising with the client, project engineers and environmental consultants and working as part of a large project team.

Candidate requirements:

  • MRICS qualified
  • Experience in the rural and urban sectors.
  • Have experience of involvement with large infrastructure projects and utilities.
  • Have an understanding of the Compulsory Purchase process and DCO projects under the 2008 Planning Act
  • A proven track record of land referencing
  • Professional appearance at all times with clients
  • Full driving licence
  • Enthusiastic and team player.
