Lead Environmental Consultant - Cables

A rapidly growing Consultancy have a new opportunity for an Environmental Consultant. You will support the offering to the energy industry. Working as a key member of the busy Environmental and Social Impact Assessment team, you will provide support to a suite of offshore energy projects, contributing largely to our cables and interconnectors portfolio. You may also use your skills to support the work in other areas such as offshore wind and tidal.

Who you'll be

With a solid background of helping to consent such projects and an impressive knowledge of all associated legislation, you will support our clients through the full project life cycle (e.g. route selection, ESIA, post-consent). You will act as project manager across a range of jobs, taking the key client contact role on a day to day basis, and leading consultants within the team to deliver these projects on time and to budget.

You will also work with the most senior staff to deliver larger and more complex scopes, preparing project documentation, attending stakeholder workshops and undertaking impact assessments.

Experience in some or all of the following areas would be beneficial:

  • Impact assessment, including scoping and environmental appraisal;
  • Marine and other licenses;
  • HRA studies and reports; and
  • Environmental management plans.

Where your technical ability excels in a particular area, we would expect you to act as, or quickly become, an internal Subject Matter Expert.
