My client is part of the listed FTSE 100, a leading distributor of catering disposables, food packaging and hygiene products in the UK. They are seeking to appoint a Marketing Executive to join a small marketing team, based at the Epsom office.

The candidate will be required to deliver marketing content on multiple channels and so must have excellent, proven copy writing skills. The role might suit a graduate who has little marketing experience but is looking to develop a range of marketing skills in a successful B2B marketing environment.

The role

Multi-channel Marketing Content

Company Blog:

  • Write and publish content (Word Press)
  • Email blog e-newsletter (Mailchimp)
  • Develop quarterly off-line blog newsletter (InDesign)
  • Monitoring (Google Analytics and Mailchimp)

Social Media - Twitter:

  • Write weekly content
  • Publish, respond and monitor (Hootsuite)
  • Develop other channels - LinkedIn, Facebook


  • Brief and manage 3rd party PR copywriters
  • Proof press releases for submission
  • Manage and submit PR to multiple trade press contacts
  • Create trade press relationships and drive PR uptake
  • Monitor PR coverage

Website (new website in development):

  • Content writing
  • Monitoring (Google Analytics)

Other responsibilities

  • Supporting the production of a new 180-page printed core-range regional catalogue
  • Quarterly updates of the x7 core-range regional category e-brochures (FlippingBook)
  • National Account presentation material and tender response support
  • Helping to deliver the Sustainability marketing and communication plan
  • Brand marketing support
  • Supporting any regional or national promotional activity
  • Identifying and writing submissions for award opportunities
  • Identifying relevant market news and cascading to internal teams
  • Internal communication - creating and publishing content (PowerPoint) for networked TV screens, and daily scrolling text
  • Contributing content to the internal intranet system and supporting users as a Community Manager

Candidate Profile


  • Degree level (or CIM accredited) qualification in marketing (or business with marketing)
  • Excellent copy writing and proofing skills (this will be tested at interview)
  • Confidence on Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Good organisation skill with ability to self-direct and prioritise


  • 1-2 years B2B marketing experience
  • Experience in publishing written content via Word Press (Blog)
  • Experience in managing and monitoring social media content via Hootsuite
  • Adobe Creative Suite - knowledge of InDesign (DTP)
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics
