Our client, a leading Energy for Waste (EfW) company who provide sustainable energy through resource management, is looking for a Plant Technician to join their team.
Your role will be to oversee the safe and efficient operation of the EfW process, including directing personnel, operations and maintenance.
You will also ensure that all operations fully comply with legislation and Codes of Practice, including health and safety regulations and the site's Environmental Permit; which includes monitoring emissions and combustion.
Your day-to-day will also include removal from service and reinstatement of plants, keeping records and event logs, supervising off-loading of chemicals and APC Residue removal, training of other staff when required and involvement in the emergency response team.
Your skill set will include a City & Guilds qualification in Boiler Operation / Turbine Operation, or equivalent, and preferably an Ordinary National Certificate level in mechanical or electrical plant engineering.
You will also have experience in the operations of boilers, turbines, auxiliary plant, or relevant and with SCADA / DCS operation.
