Plant Technician - Energy From Waste - Steam Turbine
Up to £51,000

Would you like the opportunity to be part of a growing and innovative energy from waste (EfW) company? Taking household waste and converting it to electricity.

You will be responsible for maintaining the efficient throughput of waste and production of electricity and have experience of SCADA/DCS operation.

You will also be qualified in C&G Boiler Operation, turbine operation (or equivalent) and auxiliary plant, with an Ordinary National Certificate in mechanical or electrical or plant engineering.

Safety is paramount, and you will be responsible for supervising off-loading of chemicals, APC residue removal and dealing with blockages/spillages, all within tight environmental and safety regulations.

Maintaining accurate logs and monitoring the plant systems are very much part of the role, as well as ensuring maximum efficiency and output across the plant.

You will have experience of dealing with emergency situations and remain calm and collected when dealing with alarm calls, to get the plant back up and running quickly and efficiently.

In return you will receive a competitive salary, plus 30% shift allowance.
