We are working with a Non-profit organisation that operate in 30 countries worldwide, their sole mission is to support sustainable fishing keeping our oceans healthy and full of life. Due to business growth over the past year, the Global Communications and Marketing team have a brand new role for a PR Manager, reporting to the Senior PR Manager based at their HQ in London.

This is a unique and interesting role which combines both international relations and PR activities. The role of PR Manager would suit someone who has a background in marine science or someone who has worked for an environmental NGO. The PR Manager they are seeking must have a proven record of stakeholder management experience, building and growing key working relationships and an established writer; who is able to gather content and develop clear and concise communication. The organisation operate within the B2B and more recently B2C sector and they need someone who has worked in both environments. You will be working closely with scientists, academics and so you must be able to grasp complex and intellectually challenging ideas and communicate them to a diverse audience, both internally (stakeholder management) and externally. There will be some international travel involved including sector specific events such as international conferences, trade-shows and press trips.

The PR Manager will work collaboratively with the wider business, you will support and train global teams on PR, coordinating organisation-wide responses to crisis issue communications managing the organisations brand. You will be responsible for building and maintaining excellent rapport with colleagues, various stakeholders, industry representatives, international media and other external relative agencies. You will work closely with the team to develop PR campaigns, write and develop editorial, coordinate press including crisis communications and respond to media.

Experience required:

  • Proven stakeholder management
