Principal Ecologist
£45,000 - £55,000

Allen & York are thrilled to be working with a multidisciplinary consultancy, providing ecological, arboricultural, and landscape services to a variety of high-profile clients across a diverse range of sectors in the UK.
Our client is looking for an innovative and pro-active Principal Ecologist to join the Ecology team.
The successful candidate will deliver ecological advice to a range of clients as well as support, manage and develop the Ecology team.
You will hold a relevant degree in ecology and be a member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management. With significant experience in a similar role, you will be able to demonstrate your success in managing multifaceted projects and teams. You'll have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of ecology related legislation and policy and its practical application in a UK context. With extensive experience in ecological assessment, protected species survey and a solid understanding of the application of relevant protected species planning policies, you'll have strong species identification skills across a range of taxonomic groups. An excellent communicator, you'll be self-motivated and organised, with the ability to multi-task and work collaboratively.
A full UK driving licence is required for this role with access to your own vehicle.
