Principal Landscape Architect - Cambridge

As a Principal Landscape Architect this is your opportunity to work as part of a fast paced and growing multi-disciplinary environment team based in Cambridge. You will be working on projects of all scales where you will be able to demonstrate your vast knowledge of the sector gained from a wide range of experience and a proven track record in UK based landscape design and implementation and landscape planning, including LVIA and TVIA.
Your work will be highly varied, and you will be able to gain valuable experience across all aspects of the landscape profession, including landscape design, planning and management, supporting your career development. Although the role is based in Cambridge you will support the wider team, principally across the south-east of England, but also nationally and so some travelling between offices will be expected.
Ideally you will hold a degree or Masters in Landscape Architecture or equivalent relevant Bachelor's of degree, and have at least five years post Chartership experience. You will draw on your experience of working on large-scale projects, including strategic planning, major infrastructure, urban regeneration and environmental enhancement schemes, to assist in the development of innovative, cost effective and buildable solutions in an environment that is collaborative, stimulating and challenging.
In the position of Principal Landscape Architect you will have experience of detailed landscape design and preparation of tender documentation, along with a proficiency in preparing landscape and/or townscape and visual impact assessments and appraisals, as well as a good understanding of contract administration and managing projects, including financial control and reporting and programme management.
Drawing on your experience in producing Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment Reports (LVIA) along with your clear communication skills, will give you the ability to write concise technical reports and to lead conference calls, meetings and workshops when required.
As part of this role as a Principal Landscape Architect it is expected that you will be able to produce or oversee the production of drawings and other technical documentation using appropriate software (ArcGIS, AutoCAD Civils 3D, Revit, LSS, ProjectWise and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.), with the necessary level of detail as required at various stages of development: strategies, conceptual design, detailed design and production information.
