Senior or Principal Chartered Landscape Architect - Bristol

Are you a talented Landscape Architect who wants to work for the largest independently owned multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy in the UK?

Well this is your chance!

As a Senior or Principal Chartered Landscape Architect, you will be part of a landscape team that provides a comprehensive range of landscape consultancy services (landscape planning & assessment, landscape design and landscape management) to clients throughout the UK.

This is a perfect opportunity for you as an ambitious Chartered Landscape Architect to help develop a landscape consultancy team within the Bristol office. Working as part of, and supported by, the businesses expanding environment team in Bristol, you will also support and work closely with the existing UK team of 21 Chartered Landscape Architects & Managers.

You will be working alongside experienced EIA, Environmental Management, GIS, Archaeology and Built Heritage, Transport Planning, Ecology, Arboriculture, Habitat Management, Contaminated Land and Agricultural Land Management experts within the Bristol office and wider business. In leading the landscape business locally, you will be required to take an active role in business development, practice promotion and work winning, as well as helping to expand the client base and landscape service offering in Wales and South West of England.

A key aspect of your role will be to undertake Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments, following best practice industry guidelines, for a wide range of development types including: mixed use and residential schemes; wind farms; power stations; gas and oil facilities; rail; overhead power lines and electrical substations. The role will include field work in both urban and rural situations across the UK, and occasionally overseas.

Drawing on your Post Graduate qualification in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Planning or Landscape Management, your passion and flair for written and graphic communication, and keen interest in the latest techniques and software for presenting and communicating assessment and design information will shine through as you prepare fee proposals and in your day to day usage of AutoCAD or other CAD packages, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, as part of the report writing process.

Any existing knowledge of energy projects (onshore / offshore renewables, overhead lines) rail, or road would be welcomed and may even be an advantage to you.

As this role will require you to attend site visits to sometimes rural locations that are difficult to travel to and not accessible via public transport, you will need to hold a Full clean driving licence and have access to a motor vehicle.

In return you will be offered great career opportunities and comprehensive support for your professional development and a competitive salary commensurate with your experience, Contributory Pension Scheme along with a flexible benefits programme including the option to buy additional holidays and private healthcare.
