Senior/Principal Infrastructure Engineer - Bristol - BS1

Salary - Circa £40, 000 + company benefits

My client currently seeks a Senior level Infrastructure Engineer that possesses vast knowledge and expertise in consultancy design and who is ready to share practices to obtain long term success. You will be collaborative and pro-active with a proven track record in technical excellence which comprises an array of expertise in residential, drainage, highways, flood risk and master planning. You will liaise directly with the Infrastructure Director and a welcoming and communicative approach is a necessity. The duties will vary dependent upon the grade. However, key attributes will be as follows:

  • Minimum degree qualified and preferably Chartered
  • A commercially minded professional
  • An ambitious individual with a keen desire to push themselves to achieve the best, within their capability
  • A personable individual, able to work as part of a team, accepting constructive criticism in the knowledge that this will provide a better product for the client and advance their own capabilities/understandings
  • An individual that thrives on pressure and resilient to solve complicated problems
  • A reliable person that is willing to go the extra mile when the situation demands

Software essentials:

  • AutoCAD
  • Civils 3D - including tracking
  • Microdrainage Windes

Key duties will include:

  • Preparation of feasibility studies and highways/drainage strategies, including consideration to SUDs
  • Understanding of Flood Risk Management and Reports to supplement planning applications
  • Preparation of drainage technical designs to SFA for Section agreements (S104/S185)
  • Preparation of highways technical designs for Section agreements (S38/S278)
  • Undertake site visits and attendance at meetings
  • Represent the company at corporate events - We do a lot of drinks / meals etc. and would involve the successful candidate regularly
