You will be working as part of a specialist team that plan, design, integrate, test, commission, project manage and deliver mass transit and mobility solutions that are relied on by more than 50 million people every day.

You're going to be working as part of a growing development planning team in the heart of Manchester at a Principal level working in a key role predominately on private sector development planning projects.

Ideally Honour degree or equivalent qualified preferably in Civil Engineering, Geography or another relevant subject with substantial post-qualification experience maybe even holding chartered TPP or ICE status but defiantly working towards charted status, you will have the ability to get involved in the preparation and writing of report / tenders, while dealing directly with clients on a day- to-day basis along with assisting in the delivery of technical development planning projects.

Maybe you hold a Masters in Transport Planning (or equivalent) as this would be beneficial, but not essential along with having a working knowledge, and understanding in the usage of at least two or more of the following software packages; VISSIM, VISUM, SATURN, Paramics, LinSig and TRANSYT.

During your career, it would be beneficial to you, if you have had additional wider experience of transport planning/highway engineering, project management along with involvement in work-winning activities such as tender preparation, and knowledge of GIS software and computer programming (e.g. VBA, Python) combined with a strong working Knowledge of government transport policy and guidelines.
