The sustainability team here at Allen & York are working closely with an international development and humanitarian organisation, who work very closely with young people affected by violence, poverty and discrimination. The organisation are seeking to appoint a Private Sector Innovation Manager on a two year fixed term basis, based at the London offices.
The main purpose of this role is partnership management; to establish a three-way partnership between the organisation, companies as well as institutional donors that generate significant levels of buy-in and funding from both sides.
Partnership development is the key part of the role, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction, commercial insight and developing relationships with key corporate and institutional donor representatives. Furthermore, at this level you will be expected to identify potential partners, further developing high value strategic partnerships. You will be responsible for leading on proposals and pitching, working closely with internal teams, contributing to the development of raising awareness and funding for work among new donors.
To be successful in this role you must have experience in the following:
- Proven track record of concept development and leveraging commitments of large scale funding for development programmes. Experience in private and government sectors.
- Experience working within an international charity sector
- Proven track record of meeting financial targets via partnership development
- Strong knowledge of governmental donor trends, DFID in particular
- Awareness of safeguarding issues
Furthermore, it is important within this role to have strong communication skills with a professional and personable manner. The successful candidate would need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively, bringing together a diverse group of people and broker the development of partnerships. The nature of the role also requires strong time management: managing processes, developing clear structures, managing budgets and meeting deadlines.
