Production Manager (Aluminium & Steel) - UAE

Allen & York are currently working with one of the region's leading Aluminium and Steel construction companies which took part in the construction of one of the most prestigious buildings across the Middle East, Central Asia and India.

The nature of the role will be focused on taking a leading role in the planning, spearhead, organize and manage the over-all activities of the three factories of the company in the UAE and sub-departments line with the objective of delivering a profit.

Key responsibilities:

  • Properly manage the departments under me to ensure that they are effectively and efficiently working so that profits are generated and quality products are fabricated within the budget allocated;

  • Commercial aspect: Quote, provide, negotiate and fix prices with the area and project managers for the prices of the products which should be competitive as per the prevailing market price.

  • Procurement aspect: To ensure that the prices provided by purchase are at lower cost and will boost profit.

  • Technical and planning aspect: Review the work order for its completeness and arrive for the production schedule and operation plan in agreement with the area and project managers and the production engineers

  • Cash Flow Management: To ensure that the suppliers' chain of payment and delivery is running smoothly in coordination with finance and procurement in order to have healthy operation of the company based on cash availability.

  • Small projects: To search works for small projects like villa, provide quotation, design and fabrication in coordination with QS and technical. This will ensure that the factory is all the time busy. Idle time of the workers will be avoided.

  • Review and approval of PR and LPO as per project situation and its material needs (To utilize the maximum available materials and consume all deadstock so that high frozen money can be minimized if not totally avoided. This is done in coordination with store, allocation, technical, procurement and other departments).

  • Exports department: To deliver materials on time with lower price.


  • Bachelor's degree in engineer preferably mechanical or industrial
  • 10-12 years or more experience managing aluminium factory
  • Field experience: 5 or more years in aluminium and glazing work project
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Ability to read complicated and detailed drawings
