Junior Project Manager - Local Authority Engagement

Location: London

You will help to deliver the necessary consents for my clients major infrastructure project by providing project management support for our technical engagement with local authorities and other key stakeholders.

Technical Expertise

You will be working as part of a wider integrated team, the role will include providing project management expertise in supporting and co-ordinating planning and technical team engagement with local authorities and other stakeholders in accordance with planning requirements, stakeholder engagement plans and service level agreements.

The role will require a high level of ability in working across various technical disciplines, producing and managing engagement forecasts and programmes, administering work requests, invoicing and change control, cost control, budget management and reporting.

Principle accountability:

You will be working across a variety of technical disciplines within the integrated design team and EIA and other assessment workstreams to programme and forecast planning and technical engagement with local authorities and other stakeholders on the projects expansion.

Building relations and working closely with external local authority stakeholders and stakeholder groups to ensure processes are followed in accordance with the Service Level Agreement and any other applicable protocols and requirements.

Producing work requests, managing cost estimates, change control and invoicing whilst ensuring necessary internal and external budget and resource controls and reporting.

Ensuring that all engagement is appropriately recorded and disseminated and that work programmes for producing statements of common ground are coordinated and delivered.

Qualifications and Experience

Graduate and/or post graduate relevant project management qualifications with strong interpersonal and organisational skills

Proven track record in supporting cost management and reporting including invoicing and budget control

Experience of collaborating with, and supporting the technical requirements of large multi-disciplinary teams

Experience of managing resources and forecasts for work programmes across large scale projects.
