Our client is a fast growing ICP who undertake new electrical utility connections. They are looking to recruit a Regional Contract Manager for the South West. The Contract Manager is responsible for delivering projects within his region on time and within budget overseeing each project in enough detail to control the job costings and action any variations


  • Accountable for the operational performance within your region
  • Responsible for delivering your projects in time and within budget
  • Control of each projects costs and progress
  • Responsible for staff in your region to include project supervisors and administrators
  • Responsible for the maintenance of financial and operational delivery models to control and monitor the profit and loss returns and
  • Analyse and control any risks and deviations from the project budget forecasts
  • Produce documentation and packs for senior management
  • To comply with company policies and procedures
  • Provide support to others when necessary and undertake duties appropriate to your position
  • Acting as the key contact point for clients within your region in support of your operational team
  • Liaising with all parts of Dragon to ensure current and future projects can be delivered more cost effectively
  • Taking responsibility for sub-contractors on your projects to ensure they deliver on time, in budget and to the requisite standards
  • Take responsibility for H&S within the region

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Significant experience within a contract management environment
  • Management training or experience, with a good knowledge of finance and P & L accounts.
  • IOSH, technical appreciation of both Electrical and Gas Networks
  • Commercially sound and financially numerate with excellent communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Able to work on their own initiative
  • A strong team player with a can-do attitude, working co-operatively and encouraging others
  • React positively to change
  • Flexible and innovative in their approach
  • To give a high level of commitment
  • Able to work to tight deadlines
  • Able to maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and operational management
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
