Our client is a prominent market leader in the resource and recovery sector employing over 3000 employees on over 70 sites across the UK. Following an exciting period of growth, the company are looking to expand their SHE function within the business across the South West region to compliment and improve the SHE performance within the business.
Reporting to the HSE Director, this role will manage SHE functions throughout the region, working with SHE Specialists and site co-ordinators to deliver safe working environments as well as improving safety and environmental awareness and behaviours. This is in line with the company's overall objectives and strategy for delivering consistency and control across the UK.
In this newly created role candidates will be able to demonstrate a successful track record of working and delivering across hazardous and complex work environments, managing teams across multi-sited environments.
It is important that candidates have experience and understanding of environmental issues such as permitting and regulations coupled with practice of influencing key stakeholders across a region. The expectation is that candidates will be GradIOSH or a Chartered Member and will have worked in industries such as the chemical or food manufacturing sectors.
