Allen & York are engaged with a specialist, global environmental organisation who are seeking to appoint an Account Director to join their team based at their Oxford site. The organisation works with both private and public sectors delivering bespoke and integrated environmental programmes aiming to protect the environment and improve quality of life.

Key Areas:

Team Management

This role sites within the client services team managing corporate accounts as well and developing new business. The role will be responsible for managing a team of 3 Account Managers who will report directly to the Account Director. You will be responsible for developing their skills and experience ensuring clients are looked after to the highest of standards.

Account Directorship

You will be responsible for the successful management of client accounts taking overall responsibility to make sure their needs are met. The Account Director will be responsible for ensuring planning and management is in place in order to deliver business objectives, acting as a strategic adviser to clients.

New Business Development - within exiting and supporting new business development

As part of your role, you will also be responsible for developing new business via developing clear and concise plans for the development of key accounts in line with financial business objectives. You will be proactive in developing ideas, proposals and pitches working closely with the wider team when necessary.

You will also collaborate with the business development team on proposals and new business development opportunities.

Project Management

You will be responsible for the smooth running and effective management of projects, ensuring these are delivered in time and on budget working closely with the wider team. Providing accurate financial forecasts and managing all required administrative paperwork including reporting and invoicing.

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious and driven individual with a proven track record of managing and growing corporate accounts.
