Our client is a market design, governance and assurance services provider at the heart of the UK's energy, environment, water and information security sectors.

We are currently looking to recruit an ambitious and results-focused individual to join our clients Assurance Team.

The role will involve delivering the assurance processes and looking to manage, develop and improve both the services and the relationship with the client.

You will communicate with stakeholders to provide detailed analysis, support and consultancy services on Assurance Services.


  • Delivering assurance services and other short-term consultancy assignments
  • Providing relevant assurance expertise and knowledge across varying departments
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, key internal and external stakeholders and potential new clients
  • Processing new entrants into the markets
  • High integrity and an ability to maintain a totally professional approach to delivering current projects within the assurance practice and maintain an awareness of new and emerging opportunities
  • Effective support to the Assurance lead for the management and accountability of planning and resources
  • Commercial awareness including: proposing new business opportunities, identifying and managing
  • risks to the project delivery, effectively conveying and promoting company message
  • Financial management: understands the basic accounting models appropriate to the project, resource charts and forecasting
  • Building and sustaining relationships with internal staff, external contractors and associates through strong communications skills, professional conduct and applied knowledge
  • Applying expertise and knowledge

  • Planning, organising and managing skills


  • Knowledge of the Utilities Industry
  • Understanding of Assurance services and frameworks
  • Assurance knowledge combined with commercial acumen gained through a mixture of qualification and business experience
  • Experience of technical assurance and auditing procedures and techniques
  • Experience of managing workload and multiple priorities in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to intuit, anticipate and address problems at an early stage
  • Experience in building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of networking with relevant stakeholders and potential clients
  • Awareness of the Company's Information, Quality, Environmental and Energy Management Systems
  • Proven business experience in providing assurance services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Flexible and adaptable to meet the evolving demands and needs of the industry
