Senior Climate & Sustainability Consultant

£28k-£40k DOE, Oxford or Cambridge

Want to join a world leading environmental consultancy committed to retaining and rewarding their best talent?

With a culture firmly based in the environment and supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, this organisation is looking to expand their committed and continuously improving team.

Based in either Oxford or Cambridge, the Senior Climate & Sustainability Consultant (Agriculture) will not only support existing client contracts but look to develop and nurture their own projects. This role will help enhance the environmental sustainability of food consumption and help improve current practices and the wider supply chain.

With a good knowledge of agriculture, sustainability and the issues affecting the sector, combined with an understanding of the wider food supply chain, the successful candidate will be motivated to support the move toward Net Zero.

An innovator and role model for their team, you will be an excellent project manager - used to working on large scale and smaller projects alike. An experienced manager, you will be able to develop new methodologies to suit the changing environment, deliver effective projects and be adept in analysing data. Your advanced communication and writing skills will mean you can interpret your findings into engaging and accessible reports for your clients.

To continue the growth of the business, you'll be used to working with senior stakeholders on business development and able to put together compelling proposals and tenders to win new projects.

With experience of working in agriculture, sustainability or food supply chain, you'll likely have a degree (or equivalent) in Agriculture, Biology, Geography or similar and excellent knowledge of mathematics. A higher qualification in Sustainable Agriculture would be a distinct advantage.

Computer and IT skills (Office Suite), ability to work both independently and part of a team, attention to detail (for quantitative and qualitative research and analysis) are all a must have for this role.

In return for the skills and experience outlined, you'll receive a competitive salary, combined with a contributory pension scheme, flexible benefits - including being able to buy additional holiday and private healthcare - and will receive regular training and development opportunities.
