Allen & York is working closely with a leading international development consultancy to source a Senior Commercial Bid Manager to join the Team in Oxford and lead a Team of Commercial Bid Managers and look at the commercial viability of proposals and ensuring they're attractive and profitable.
This is a critical role for the organisation and as such they're looking for someone with extensive experience of managing a Team and a strong technical understanding of reviewing and designing commercial models such as overhead recovery and margin target models. You'll also be responsible for establishing and designing commercial models which can be used in proposals (input based, results based and innovative hybrid models). Your team management skills will also be required as a Team of two Bid Managers will report to you so strong communication and organisational skills are required.
You'll be good at designing commercial models used in successful bids for large donors including DFID and The World Bank and public sector procurement experience and you'll be comfortable working with different Teams within the business to advise and improve processes and procedures. It will also be advantageous for you to have worked on public sector procurement before and bidding with government contracts.
