Job description
Allen & york are delighted to be working with an established Environmental Planning business who are looking for a highly motivated Senior Ecologist to take a leading role in their exciting multi-disciplinary team of Ecologists, Arboriculturists and Landscape Architects.
You will manage a variety of projects and take on part of a growing workload of technically complex projects, which involve working with wider teams of consultants and dealing with Natural England, local authority ecologists, local Wildlife Trusts and other stakeholders for valued clients. Currently these projects require as much problem solving, stakeholder engagement and client management as they do surveys, report writing and 'standard' ecology work.
Their Ecology Team continues to grow with a team of ecologists split over our two locations. The Ecology Team is structured well to cover survey work, especially the newt and bats surveys in anti-social hours. Your role would be managing projects and the Ecologists required to complete field work, data analysis and report writing. Good teamwork, communication, people and line management skills are important, as is the ability to change plans at short notice and communicate and manage upwards.
Ideally with a BAT license, you will be trusted to oversee projects and train others to complete projects.
