Are you an expert in energy access within developing nations? Do you have a desire to work in a unique consultancy environment and develop a service line? Would you like to join an organisation who are working hard to change the lives of people in emerging countries? If so, read on...

You will be an experienced consultant in the international energy access sphere, be that mini grid, clean cooking, renewable or other related disciplines and your experience of off grid energy access technologies will be put to good practice. You'll have at least a degree in a relevant discipline but most likely a Masters or above in international development or energy and experience working as a consultant, either for a consultancy or freelance.

In addition to your academic background and technical skills, you will be comfortable with developing the business as initially there will be a big push to develop the portfolio of work, so this could be reaching out to existing contacts and identifying new ones. As such, you'll be familiar with putting together proposals and tenders, speaking to groups to spot new opportunities and then being able to manage the projects and workload. So your communication skills (both written and verbal) will be essential, as will any knowledge you have of different cultures and behaviours. This is a role where you'll be required to work hard to manage the project from start to finish within an intimate team and it's very much a hands on role and your first hand experience of having worked on projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America will be invaluable.

You'll be adept at solving problems, sharing knowledge, providing expert advice and inspiring change for maximum impact and integrity.

Do you like travelling? Fantastic, as you'll be away for around 6-8 weeks a year, so not excessive but these trips will be as and when required.

Do you live in the Midlands? Not a problem if not, as with excellent transport links and a flexible approach to working, you could be based elsewhere and commute. In return, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary and package and the opportunity to contribute to the growth of the Team moving forward.

Do you enjoy working in a collaborative and supportive environment where you are valued and you can share best practice? Then this is the perfect environment for you as the team in their open plan offices, encourage and foster this attitude and way of working.

So if you'd like to find out more about this exciting and incredibly rewarding role with an inclusive, impact led organisation, please call Katie on 01202 888986 ext 207.
