Allen & York has been engaged by one of the UK's leading environmental consultancies to help them find a Senior Environmental Manager to work on a high profile NSIP in the South West.
As such, you'll have ideally worked on another Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project and you'll most likely be working in (or have worked for) a construction company as this is site based. Your experience of ensuring compliance with legislation, permits, consents and licences will be utilised, as will your broader environmental knowledge about ecological issues, noise and air quality. You'll be an expert with ISO 14001:2015 and will have designed, implemented and maintained these as well as SWMP's. If you've been involved with EIA's in the past, that will be advantageous, however don't worry if you don't...a willingness to learn is fine. It is expected you'll hold a CSCS card and membership of a professional association such as IEMA.
Like travelling around? Perfect, as this is a mobile role and you will need a valid driving licence (a car is not essential as you'll have access to the pool car) to travel around to various sites.
You'll be based in or around the Bristol area as this is where the site office is and where you'll sit when you're not on site. Your excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - will come in to their own as will your ability to educate, influence and persuade, both to colleagues within the business and externally.
A well renowned company with a real commitment to developing their Team, this is a fantastic opportunity for you to progress further and add another NSIP to your CV, as well as be rewarded with a competitive salary and package and a tailored development plan.
