Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant

£28,000 - £38,000 / Cambridge

Are you an environmental professional, with experience spill response, contamination investigation and remediation projects, looking for a great new role?

​

We're looking for a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant to strengthen a successful team in Cambridge, working on oil pollution and contaminated land investigations. If this sounds like you, read on!

The role

This is a unique opportunity to manage a number of projects through from inception to completion and the role will involve both office and site based work.

You will;

• Manage specific projects and supervise staff working on these projects, including technical management and cost appraisals.

• Be responsible for ensuring that project costings (for self and team) are reviewed, accurate and approved in a timely manner.

• You'll be accountable for performance of projects managed by yourself and your team.

• Be responsible for procurement and management of subcontractors for allocated projects. Ensuring that they provide the relevant health and safety method statements and risk assessments and that these procedures are followed throughout the works.

Requirements

As a Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant you will:

• Have a science based degree

• Have at least 5 years relevant industry experience

• Have a knowledge of Phase I and II site investigations and a sound knowledge of remediation techniques and their application.

• Be motivated, have good organisational and problem-solving skills, and sound commercial awareness with an understanding of project budgets and timelines.
