As a Senior / Principal Landscape architect, you will be responsible for the preparation of high quality hard and soft landscape designs, masterplans, sections and montages as well as the preparation of Landscape / Townscape and Visual Impact Assessments (LVIA/TVIA) for a variety of projects
You will hold a degree and / or a post-graduate qualification in a relevant discipline. Ideally you will be chartered, or well advanced on the Pathway to Chartership and preparing for the chartership exams. In this position, you will be offered practical and financial support for the Pathway to Chartership, including membership and examination fees.
As the successful candidate, you will work on design projects that are primarily UK-focussed. In this position, you will be required to user your combination of design flair and technical competence and good all round skills in design from concept to detail, graphic presentation, and verbal and written communication, as well as your proficiency in both hard and soft landscape design to work collaboratively, articulate ideas and communicate effectively within an internal team structure as well as with external parties.
You should be comfortable and competent when dealing with clients and have the confidence and experience to manage projects independently, but know when to seek support if this is necessary.
Proficient use of AutoCAD and Adobe software is a minimum requirement of the role, and ideally you will supplement this with your ability to communicate with hand drawings and sketches, as well as your skilled use of 3D software packages.
Many of the sites are located in remote locations so a driving licence would be beneficial, but not essential.
