This is your chance as a Senior or Principal Transport Planner to join a rapidly growing team in the South West within the businesses Bristol office to work on exciting projects that support sustainable economic growth and development whilst addressing the climate emergency.
You will be working for a global consultancy as part of a wide range of multi-disciplinary teams, a global reach and diversified market penetration. Typically, you will work with clients that include national, regional and local transport authorities, as well as private developers and international clients.
As a business the client develops and use some of the most sophisticated transport techniques in a range of specialist software and offer comprehensive internal training programme to encourage professional and technical development.
As a key senior member of the team, you will need to provide strong technical capabilities to deliver a wide range of projects that satisfies the needs of clients, funding bodies and the Department for Transport.
Day to day you will be responsible for assisting with the specification and management of transport planning projects, leading workstreams and projects and taking responsibility for technical quality.
As well as providing support to a number of senior staff, along with providing advice and support to junior staff, being responsible for their technical development.
Assisting in the development of business opportunities, contributing to the production and delivery of larger bids and proposals, but from time to time, lead on smaller opportunities will come as second nature to you.
Ideally you will currently hold a BSc degree in a numerate subject or an MSc in transport Planning or related subject with substantial post-qualification experience. As well as holding chartered membership of either CIHT, TPS, CILT or ICE or be currently working towards chartered status of one of these bodies. You should also have an excellent understanding of transport guidance and best practice (TAG)
