This is your chance to work as part of a specialist Urban Space team that's part of the Transport Planning business base in either St Albans or London, you will be given the opportunity to join an accomplished team and work on a range of transport modelling projects including urban micro-simulation projects for a wide variety of clients that plan, design, integrate, test, commission, project manage and deliver mass transit and mobility solutions across the globe.

As a Senior Transport Planner, you will report to an Associate Director within the team, demonstrating your ability to deliver and win work while providing leadership, mentoring and technical advice and aspiring junior team members will all be standard practices for you.

Along with your Degree/Masters qualification in Civil Engineering or Transport Planning or other analytical subject your understanding and experience of traffic and transport modelling as well as transport planning will shine through as you plan and evaluate future transport schemes, forecast demand and revenue, develop business cases, undertake economic appraisals and market analysis, as well as looking at the relationships between spatial planning and transport.

Thanks to your knowledge of micro-simulation modelling software such as VISSIM, Legion, Viswalk accompanied with your familiarity with TfL's, NR and LUL's model development and audit processes, undertaking transport modelling at a national and regional level right down to detailed micro-simulation where individual roads, public transport systems and crowd movements are analysed with be second nature to you.

Some understanding of other transport modelling software including one or more SATURN, CUBE, EMME, VISUM, TUBA, will be desirable for this role although not essential.
