This is your chance to work as part of a dynamic transport planning and modelling team in Bristol that is committed to solving real-world transport problems. Whether that is delivering solutions for our local clients in the South West to address the impact of developments on the transport network or finding solutions to complex traffic issues on some of the UK's largest construction projects, this team does everything to imagine a better solution and to deliver it.
Are you up to the challenge?
Along with your Degree/Masters qualification in Civil Engineering or Transport Planning or other analytical subject such as mathematics, economics, geography, or engineering, your understanding and experience of traffic and transport modelling as well as transport planning will shine through as you plan and evaluate future transport schemes, forecast demand and revenue, develop business cases, undertake economic appraisals and market analysis, as well as looking at the relationships between spatial planning and transport.
As a Senior Transport Planner, you will report to an Associate Director within the team, demonstrating your ability to deliver and win work while providing leadership, mentoring and technical advice and aspiring junior team members will all be standard practices for you.
Thanks to your knowledge of simulation software such as SATURN, CUBE, EMME, VISUM, TUBA, accompanied with your familiarity with key guidance documents, such as WebTAG, you will be able to explain technical concepts to others, especially graduates and anyone else who may ask for your assistance.
Your knowledge and experience in transport modelling and forecasting and experience in appraisal and evaluation of transport proposals will shine through, as you regularly use your analytical, data manipulation or statistical skills while managing your time to ensure you meet project deadlines consistently.
