Senior Water Quality Modeller

A unique opportunity with a global Consulting, Engineering and Construction Services company. Currently expanding and as a result are looking to recruit a Senior Water Quality Modeller. You will be working on some of the leading water and natural resources projects around the world. This will be a challenging but rewarding role and as such there is a generous benefits package on offer.

My client is an International Project Management, Engineering and Environmental Management consultancy with over 22,000 staff world-wide. With unprecedented success in securing new contracts, my client is actively recruiting to support their growing Water Resources Team.

Seeking energetic and innovative staff to design, win and deliver a solution-oriented service to existing and new clients.

You are likely to have an MSc/PhD with proven water quality modelling experience within the consultancy industry and working towards Chartership or recently Chartered. In particular, you should be able to demonstrate significant technical experience one of the following areas:

* Water quality modelling (e.g. MIKE11);

* Environmental Impact Assessments - water resources quality impact assessments;

* Water Framework Directive Assessments; and

* Sediment transport assessments/modelling.

Additional experience in the following areas would be an advantage:

* Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) - principals and design (e.g. using WinDes MicroDrainage);

* River restoration studies (e.g. weir removal impact assessments);

* Water resources assessments;

* Integrated Catchment Management - i.e. to achieve water quality benefits; and

* Climate change impact assessment and adaptation planning;

Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills will be essential. The successful candidate will be expected to take a lead role in writing and supporting fee proposals and in writing/reviewing technical reports. Experience of staff management and mentoring will also be useful as the successful candidate will be expected to work within a team that is located throughout several UK offices.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate skills in factual and interpretative reporting, data management and analysis and presentation. Good time management and presentational skills and a flexible attitude are also essential to work within our busy and dynamic team. Good GIS skills will be essential.

The position is primarily in support of our UK Water Company clients, although contribution to international projects is increasingly required. The role will be based in our Warrington or Redditch offices.
