Do you want to work for a market leader? Our client is at the forefront of the waste and recycling sector with sites widespread across the UK. Following an exciting period of growth, the company are looking to expand their SHE function across the business to include their sites in the North West and South of England with the goal of improving SHE performance and driving best practice.
You will report into the Regional SHE Manager and your key responsibilities will include developing and leading the implementation of company-wide SHE strategies and policies, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice. In addition, the role will include maintaining operational compliance with environmental permitting and ensuring the EMS is effective and staff understand its importance.
As the point of contact for audits and inspections this role will play a crucial part in the control of hazards on site and ensuring the necessary measures are in place. You will be required to work across multi-sites working closely with management and site staff to provide training as required as well as maintaining management systems.
A qualification in Health & Safety and/or Environment will be advantageous but crucial will be a background in high hazard or an industrial setting.
