Our client is seeking experienced Site Logistics Manager to join its Construction Team for a large pipeline of UK-based projects. Operations Engineers work alongside the Site Engineers and under the Operations Team to co-ordinate and manage the on-site deliveries of all main equipment materials.
You will coordinate the schedule of deliveries of main equipment to the solar projects including solar panels, inverters, transformers etc.
Experience in materials management within the construction industry (ideally solar plants) with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role is essential. You will be working closely with the Operations Manager to ensure timely delivery of the equipment on-site, including contact with forwarders and Ports
Fantastic organisational skills are required, along with knowledge of Incoterms (2010) and Excel, as you will be keeping meticulous spreadsheets of all main equipment received on project
You will have the opportunity to oversee the unloading by the main subcontractor, along with proactively solve on-site delivery problems as they arise, escalating to management where required.
Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering would be fantastic, but is not necessary
