Allen & York is delighted to be working with one of the UK's leading developers and operators of Anaerobic Digestion sites who are now seeking a passionate, driven consultant to join their business and oversee compliance with the Renewable Heat Incentive and Feed In Tariff UK government support schemes.
Joining a relaxed organisation with a family feel and flat structure, you'll be given the unique opportunity to work openly across the business providing your input and helping to develop ideas, methodologies and processes. You'll have superb data analysis skills and be familiar with Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) theory, if not have direct experience of using the methodology in post and if you've worked in biomethane or biogas, that would be ideal. Advanced Excel skills would be particularly useful when handling large volumes of data across multiple sites.
You'll be responsible for compiling RHI and FiT submissions so you'll have ideally done these previously and managing sustainability audits in line with ISO 14064 and ISAE 3000 but you'll also be required to liaise with a number of stakeholders including farmers, land owners, on site operatives and directors. As such, your communication skills will be excellent, both written and verbal, as you'll be preparing reports and regularly speaking to engineers to request data.
Carbon capture has been identified as a real opportunity so if you've been involved in this, that would be super! You'll hold a relevant first degree in an environmental discipline and a 2nd degree would be a bonus. Given the nature of the sector, if you're interested in engineering and technology (and how sustainability can aid these), that would also put you in a favourable position.
The business has strong plans for growth which makes it an incredibly exciting time to join the company and provides future opportunities so would suit someone who's ambitious and keen to grow with the company.
With the company's base in Surrey, you'd need to be able to visit the offices about two days a week and the sites are then distributed across Norfolk, Lincolnshire and Yorkshire, which you'll visit on an ad-hoc basis, so a willingness to travel is required but location is relatively flexible.
This post is offered with an immediate start and a competitive salary will be offered depending on experience and so if you're interested and possess the relevant skills and experience, call Katie on 01202 888986 ext 207.
