We are looking for a Sustainability Engineer / Building Physicist to join a company passionate about design that leads to happier humans and low environmental impact. You would be joining a rapidly growing company with locations across the UK to work on a diverse rage of clients and interesting projects, creating innovative solutions for mechanical, electrical and sustainable design.
You will be part of a team taking projects from concept to completion, from detailed finite element modelling of individual building fabric components to solar modelling of site masterplans.
Your key responsibilities will include investigations, feasibility studies, calculations for low energy and sustainable building design. You will be designing and assessing whole buildings for Part L compliance using IES VE software focusing on minimising CO2 emissions & overheating.
Familiarity with 3D building energy modelling package is essential, preferably IES-VE. Experience in related building physics disciplines like natural daylight design, as will a familiarity of Passivhaus Standard. There will be vast learning opportunities for passive design principles including Passivhaus Standards and opportunities for training to help achieve Chartered Engineer status.
