Drawing the digital dot-to-dot puzzles.
As a systems engineer you know how important the infrastructure and network is to businesses. You are a great problem solver who understands the physical architecture and can design, implement and maintain systems.
Would you like to take your skills to a leading provider of IT solutions to businesses, working in a state of the art facility with a dedicated team of specialists to help you develop and maintain infrastructure automation processes within a number of greenfield projects? Have an interest in hybrid-cloud and public cloud platforms? You will have the chance to take part in a number of these.
Reporting to the Head of Projects and working with other members of the development team, you will use your understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, and IP, WAN/LAN and WIFI networking to join the dots designing the architecture, automation and management of cloud based services.
If you have knowledge of Office 365, Azure and other Microsoft networking tools, along with automation scripts like Power Shell, then you will be able to hit the ground running in this systems engineer role. Knowledge of Linux, RouterOS and Veeam backup solutions will be helpful too.
You won't be stuck in the back office creating infrastructure automation processes and the documentation that goes with it; as well as this you will be able to interact with your clients and support with other key functions like pre-sales, control panels and provisioning surveys. Your friendly and professional manner will be great here, and your ability to communicate complex infrastructure jargon to 'Joe Public' with little prior knowledge will help you present well to all levels of understanding.
On top of your salary, you will be given a competitive pension and bonus structure that rewards your success. There will be a free parking space, which is hard to come by in Poole! The local discounts scheme is a great way to make sure your work-life balance is met, which is helped by the fixed working hours so no more late night call outs or emergency call backs to the office!
