It is a great opportunity to guide and help a very special charity that cares for children with life-shortening conditions and their families, through regular respite, end of life care and bereavement support. Julia's House is a previous UK Healthcare Charity of the Year.
- There are six Board meetings a year, and each Trustee generally also serves on one specialist sub-committee comprising another six meetings per year. Meetings are weekdays late afternoon / early evening, currently held on Zoom due to Covid restrictions. Trustees are also encouraged to regularly check in with and be a sounding-board for their counterpart on the senior management team.
- Trustees are responsible for all aspects of the charity's governance, and must respect confidentiality wherever required. Trustee appointments are subject to references and a Disclosure and Barring Service check.
- We welcome all applicants, particularly from women and BAME applicants.
