You will be working as part of a specialist team that design, plan, integrate, test, commission, project manage and deliver mass transit and mobility solutions that are relied on by more than 50 million people every day.
Drawing on your excellent interpersonal skills combined with your technical and commercial awareness as an Urban Designer you'll be working within the 'Movement and Place' offering, thanks to a strong pipeline of exciting and diverse projects, a need for an Urban Designer has become available in this rapidly expanding Birmingham office.
You will be degree qualified or above with substantial post-qualification experience. Ideally you will have gained this experience in Urban design from a consultancy or local authority setting, drawing on your knowledge of Transport and Movement principals and your excellent graphics skills set your genuine interest in Transport Planning and Street design in placemaking will shine through along with your ability to play a key part in growing a dynamic, high performing team.
While having a working knowledge, and understanding in the usage of at least two or more of the following software packages; VISSIM, VISUM, SATURN, Paramics, LinSig and TRANSYT.
During your career, it would be beneficial to you, if you have had additional wider experience of transport planning/highway engineering, project management along with involvement in work-winning activities such as tender preparation, and knowledge of GIS software and computer programming (e.g. VBA, Python).
