Purpose of Role

Lead and develop Engineering & Automotive Academy performance, monitoring and evaluation in line with the
E& A operational strategy. Ensuring attitudes, behaviour, performance, quality standards expectations, of all stakeholders are met; supporting the customer service & KPI target achievements. Whilst leading delivery of the business portfolio in line with the vocational sector.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities of the Role

  • Deliver Operational Excellence and regional targets through high performing Learning & Assessment Coaches
  • Accountable for all aspects of line management and leadership inclusive of recruiting, training, developing and retaining peak performing colleagues and ensuring consistent delivery against Our Learner Promise
  • Drive consistent and effective deliver to learners by ensuring that all Learner Journey processes are followed
  • Ensure that all quality processes are followed and maintain regular and effective communication with IQAs to ensure timely achievement of qualifications for learners
  • Support team in maintaining caseload numbers by providing innovative solutions to learner recruitment and new customers
  • Develop and share best practice across your team and region
  • Coach and develop teams through regular Teach & Learning observations
  • Conduct regular team communication meetings
  • Ensure team maintain continuous professional development
  • Ensure the team provide their learners with information, advice and guidance to successfully complete their qualifications timely

Essential Criteria Required

  • Clear understanding of relevant Sector Stakeholders working within the Engineering and Automotive industries
  • Understanding of the key elements of the common inspection framework. With experience of Ofsted requirements
  • Clear understanding of the E&A business plan and objectives. In addition to initiatives relating to Apprenticeships, SFA and BIS funded activities
  • Clear understanding of standards and conduct in line with the values and behaviours required of a Grade 1 'Ofsted' training provider, from all employees, learners and stakeholders.
  • Successful track record of leading and developing a high performing team in a work based learning environment
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Well-developed interpersonal and motivational skills
  • Effective delivery of deadlines, objectives and targets
  • Effective communication skills
  • Change management skills

Essential Criteria Required

  • Sector related professional qualifications
  • Functional skills at level 2 Maths, English and ICT

Desirable Criteria

  • Degree or equivalent
  • A1/V1 qualifications
  • Level 4 qualifications
