Assistant Process Engineer - Water

Our Water and Utilities team is involved in some of the UK’s most complex and stimulating projects that are diverse and technically demanding. We have an enviable reputation in the delivery of such schemes and are working closely with the Environment Agency and some of the UK’s most established and recognisable utilities companies, undertaking a vast array of projects to enhance the UK’s water and utility services.

 

Requirements:

 

We are seeking to recruit a Senior/Principal Process Engineer to be based from our Cardiff office, to play a key role in our established water process team. To be considered, we are seeking candidates with the following credentials:

 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant first degree recognised by the relevant Industry Association or Institute

 

Desirable Experience:

  • Waste water process design experience (with Water Company, Consultant or Contractor) encompassing some or all of the following:
  • Traditional Activated sludge treatment, SBRs, biofilters, RBCs etc
  • Anaerobic digestion
  • Thermal Hydrolysis (Cambi Process)

 

Duties:

 

Reporting to the Associate Technical Director you will play a pivotal in the delivery of effective, innovative solutions and designs and providing technical support to our clients and delivery teams.

 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Being familiar with, and compliant with, relevant H & S regulations and to promote a culture of awareness within the team
  • Regular visits to different sites, and client offices
  • Data Analysis
  • Assisting with the production of Process Flow Diagrams, Mass and Energy Balances
  • Detailed Process Calculations
  • Writing of Feasibility Reports
  • Liaising with Suppliers
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time by your manager
