Associate - Building Surveying
Our client is looking to appoint an experienced and competent Associate Building Surveyor to further strengthen the existing Surveying team in their successful Craven office. The team has an incredibly low turnover, and are looking to expand with a new team member, rather than replace.
Work is focused across North Yorkshire but often extends to other areas with offices in London and the North East. The role will primarily consist of expanding the project management and design delivery of building surveying work in the public and private sectors.
The right candidate would be liaising directly with a well-established portfolio of commercial and private clients and Local Planning Authorities. For the chosen candidate, there is the opportunity to enhance your Business Development skills, working with a team of friendly, proactive Surveyors, and the opportunity to develop your own speciality in a supportive environment should this be of interest, or develop your skills in maintenance surveys, condition surveys or Party Wall commissions, through an increased need for these services.

Building Surveying Experience
- MRICS Chartered (or experienced and interested in becoming chartered)
- Good client facing skills working directly with clients
- Good experience of contract administration
- Had overall responsibility for construction management projects and experience of JCT contract management
- Ability to problem solve and advise clients on cost effective and practical solutions to all matters related to property and facilities
- Experience of AutoCAD and NBS software desirable
- Clean driving license
