Associate Transport Planner or Associate Director, Sheffield

With at least 5 years planning experience within the public or private sector, and with membership of the RTPI you will be expected to work on development plans/policy and development management projects and appeal work within small team of 5 professional staff. Your detailed knowledge of the planning sector will provide you the ability to analyse and problem solve, advocate solutions verbally and in writing and convey ideas clearly to your team.
You will be tasked to take the lead on projects while managing your own workload as well as supporting the Directors of the business.
As Associate Director, you will be expected to report to Directors accordingly, whilst developing your own client base. You will also be required manage the workload of junior staff members and assist them in the wide variety of projects in which they will become involved.
You will produce technical studies within the Transport Planning function, be technically competent in analysing conventional transport projects and can effectively manage people and projects.
In this role, you will contribute towards the technical excellence of the team and can expect considerable experience on a variety of interesting and challenging projects.

As Part of the role you will use your experience in preparing transport assessments, knowledge of analytical software programs such as ARCADY, PICADY, LINSIG, TRANSYT, the TRICS database and relevant BSc/ BEng or equivalent level qualification to enable you in the production of technical studies unsupervised while also developing and commissioning transport surveys and working unsupervised in the production of other transport projects as these arise and ensuring outputs are delivered on time.
You may even have understanding of other analytical software programs such as CUBE, SATURN, VISSIM, AIMSUN, or similar.
