An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Buying professional.
The purpose of the role is to provide a first class service for the best cost possible.
You will have a minimum of 4 years buying experience within a construction or engineering type organisation.
You must be degree qualified or equivalent and hold a black or Gold CSCS card.
Reporting into the Head of Procurement you will be responsible for the following;
Duties to include
Ensure best practice is adhered to and knowledge is shared
Develop market knowledge and relevant contacts for products and services
Negotiating and agreeing contracts
Production of reports and statistics when required
Dealing with supplier queries
Monitoring quality and service level agreements
Supervision of assistant buyer
Supplier and site visits
Subcontract buying experience will be an advantage.
You will be IT literate within MS office suite applications, possess good leadership skills and be able to achieve results within set goals and clear guidelines.
