Our client is a highly regarded, market leading technical consultancy. They work with clients in the UK across the renewable energy, conventional power generation and waste sectors, providing design and engineering services to financial institutions, developers and owner-operators.
They are seeking engineers who are looking to develop and expand their full potential to the benefit of both the individual and also our business. They are looking for an individual who will be responsible for several projects at any one time, working as an integral part of our wider engineering teams.
You will liaise directly with our clients, contractors, operators and suppliers as necessary. You will be proactive, able to challenge the status quo as necessary and be looking for a role that will test your skills and abilities.
First class or 2.1 degree in an engineering discipline
Achieved or working towards Chartered Engineer
Working knowledge of process systems and renewable energy technologies specifically waste solids/food stocks anaerobic digestion or biogas production.
The ability to specify from a functional and qualitative basis the requirements for a packaged system or installation.
The ability to read and interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, specifications, functional descriptions, etc.
A sound understanding of specific process technology such as; pumps, AD reactors, condensers, compressors, CHP gas engines, valves, etc., and the ability to be able to develop this knowledge so that they might become a company expert within their respective field.
Experience of having designed, installed, tested and / or commissioned an anaerobic process package or technology.
The ability to assess technical submissions to determine their compliance with a contract specification, and any specific actions or issues which might be need to be resolved or clarified.
The ability to identify potential technical design or installation risks.

Strong and concise communication skills (including professional report writing);
Effective time management skills;
The ability to evaluate, explain and simplify complex technical issues;
Clean full driving licence;
Willingness to travel both in the UK and overseas; and
Ability to operate both as a team member and autonomously as required.
