Role & Requirements:

This growing and friendly client is seeking a senior energy professional with extensive experience in the energy industry. The ideal candidate will be familiar with Demand Response schemes, energy systems and demand side management across various sectors, including industrial, retail and commercial. The candidate should also be able to demonstrate experience in buildings, energy management, facility management, energy consumption and energy efficiency measures. Knowledge and experience of standby generation, HV/LV switchgear, generator controls and upgrade projects, as well as electrical export and synchronisation to grid capabilities is also highly desired. This position will also involve a degree of international travel to customer sites outside of the UK. Provide engineering and technical leadership to establish Demand Response project development and deliver corporate objectives
Lead and oversee the design, development, implementation and analysis of DR projects, including standby generation use for DR, energy efficiency and commissioning projects and the delivery of energy asset reduction surveys
Develop relationships with energy companies, utility suppliers and contractors to drive standby generation utilisation and energy asset turn-down schemes for DR
Provide guidance to junior engineers and technicians on commonly used concepts, practices and procedures with energy consuming facility systems, engineering evaluations, energy efficiency analysis, testing systems and writing reports
Oversee all aspects of DR projects including technical work, scheduling, budget management, assigning responsibilities, project status and client relationship management
Coordinate the delivery of projects between the UK and international locations, where applicable
Provide training and support to internal and external stakeholders for execution of demand response and energy efficiency projects and programs
Provide support as and when required to sales / BD, commercial, technical and operations colleagues within the business
