A world leading design and architecture company in London office is seeking a Design Manager to join our team of design thinkers and doers who specialise in helping to tell stories and create experiences in the context of the workplace and corporate environments, while working on a variety of projects within the professional services sector. You will be experienced in handling the design process, with excellent presentation and relationship building skills, and the ability to understand and interpret client needs and requirements. This is a pivotal role and is accountable to the Project Principal.
The successful applicant will have a good understanding of the end to end design process, and possess demonstrable workplace/corporate interior design experience, having worked on a variety of projects including professional services/technological firms. They will be experienced in handling the client process, with excellent presentation, communication and relationship building skills and the ability to understand and interpret client needs and requirements across international locations whilst leading the internal project team in London.
A self-motivated team player with a positive, communicative and collaborative approach, the Design Manager will work in partnership with colleagues across Gensler's practice areas, as well as with vendors, consultants and stakeholders at all levels. They will have the knowledge and ability to provide guidance to less experienced members of the Interiors team, advising and supporting where necessary.
Providing exemplar design management and leadership from concept to completion of design projects, working across all the RIBA design stages.
