Our Client install and distribute energy efficiency devices and renewable energy systems including solar thermal and PV systems, heat pumps and biomass boilers with commercial, public and agricultural sectors across the UK.


  • To focus on the coordination of projects allocated and to develop electrical design solutions to meet the on-going and future needs of the business in particular on electrical commercial projects.
  • Preparing DNO applications
  • Managing customer supply upgrades and isolations
  • Designing inverter layouts and managing inverter checks
  • Designing electrical schematics for control systems
  • AC cable design
  • Specification of electrical equipment - standard and site specific as well as workshop equipment & tools
  • Effective purchasing of electrical equipment & workshop equipment and tools
  • Technical survey visits
  • Supporting CAD design on with array mounting systems and ordering thereof
  • Operational handover meetings
  • Provide training on Generation protection wiring
  • Attend training and development when required
  • Internal auditor
  • Developing standard materials lists
  • Monitoring costs through spread sheets
  • Advising other designers


  • Electrical installations within commercial, agricultural and domestic environments
  • Competent or above working knowledge of current electrical regulations
  • Worked with DNO's
  • Literacy & numeracy competence
  • Electricians approved certificate or equivalent
  • 17th editions electrical regulations certificate
  • Certificate in Health & Safety / Inspection & testing certificate
  • Asbestos awareness
  • Full driving license
  • Organised and logical / Effective communicator
  • Competent in IT & Microsoft Office
  • Customer focused & High level of competence in attention to detail
  • Multi project coordination
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines
  • Team player with the ability to work independently
