Energy and Sustainability Consultant

Location: Nationwide

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Leading and assisting with the delivery energy and sustainability services of all kinds, including:

  • BREEAM Assessments from pre assessment through to post construction reviews
  • BREEAM in use audits
  • Planning support including preparing of sustainability statements and energy strategies
  • Energy compliance (DEC, EPC, ESOS)
  • Environmental management systems (ISO 14001)
  • General Sustainability Consultancy

Assisting with the provision of the independent delivery of energy and sustainability consultancy advice

Providing support and assistance in professional work and client management

Other Duties as may reasonably be required

This role profile is not exhaustive; it will be subject to periodic review and may be amended to meet the changing needs of the business.

Skills & Experience

  • BSc / BEng (or equivalent) in an appropriate environmental / sustainability / building services discipline
  • BREEAM Public & Commercial Buildings qualifications. Other schemes would be an advantage
  • Experience in the management and delivery of BREEAM Assessments in line with project programmes
  • Attending design meetings and liaising with clients
  • Preparation of high quality written reports
  • BREEAM in use and AP qualification would be an advantage. Non domestic EPC or SAP qualifications would also be favourable
  • Astute candidate with good commercial knowledge and ability to develop new business opportunities
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to establish trust and develop effective working relationships
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Uses initiative to find solutions
  • PC literate including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
