Our client is a global project management and technology consultancy. They are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the finance team on a 6 month fixed term contract. The Finance Assistant will provide a comprehensive and high quality financial and administrative support service working within the finance team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Preparation of weekly and ad hoc multi currency payment runs, to include;
    • Collation of the run and associated work to include scanning, filing and bank checking
    • Liaison with other overseas offices for their respective parts
    • Upload the payments to Western Union
    • Deal with queries from Western Union
    • Deal with queries from Beneficiaries
  • Banking reconciliations of all bank accounts;
    • Updating the ledger with all payment runs
    • Posting bank payment splits
    • Revaluation of bank accounts into EURO
  • Collating and control of staff timesheets
  • Collating and control of staff expenses
  • Process all overhead and business development invoices received, challenge validity and ensure all correct supporting documentation is in place
  • Intercompany recharges, raise invoices, collate documents/back-up, post to ledger
  • Reconcile all non-project specific cashbook accounts including Travelex, petty cash, foreign stocks
  • Issue Barclaycard statements and collate and control the returns
  • General ledger reconciliations
  • Assistance at audits, year end, ad hoc and ex-ante

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in an accounts based role
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong administration skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • A good working knowledge of excel
  • Team working skills
  • Experience with accountancy software, Agresso if possible
  • Ability to liaise with people at all levels of the organisation
  • Organised and able to prioritise
  • Considers quality and attention to detail a key attribute
